The A-C Groomer Training Center course will teach you all the necessary skills to begin a rewarding career as a Professional Pet Groomer. Pet grooming is an in-demand career. It can lead to work opportunities at a variety of animal institutions; Grooming salons, Veterinary offices, Kennels, Shelters, Pet supply shops and Animal day care facilities. All are examples of businesses that are often in search of capable, respected groomers. Maybe you aspire to open your own salon!
You will be taught all the basics of pet styling/ grooming (i.e. breeds, breed specific patterns...) . A considerable amount of time will be concentrated on refinement of finishing and scissoring skills. This will aide in strengthening your ability of finding immediate work upon completion of the course. Most established grooming salons are quite busy. They reach a point in the growing development of their business when it is beneficial to add an additional groomer to the staff. They do not have the personal time to "shadow" and oversee every aspect of a potential new groomer employee. They are interested in hiring a confident groomer. One who is capable of working independently and immediately with minimal supervision. Understanding of course, that nothing substitutes for experience, the A-C GTC student will be able to, with assurance and confidence, fill this position.
Instructor: Allison Alonso has been a Professional Pet Groomer for twenty years. She had owned and operated her own salon for 15 years. Since 2006, she has worked as both a groomer and a Veterinary Assistant and in 2010 earned her certification as a Canine Massage Therapist. She has learned much through her many years in the pet industry, some things that only experience could teach. She shares this knowledge with her students in a very comfortable atmosphere and gives them undivided instruction. They will develop a strong grooming skills foundation to build their career in whatever aspect they choose.
Space is limited. Don't delay. No more than two students at a time are enrolled in this program. This ensures you that much required personal attention will be given to the development of your grooming skills.
